Replacing the Suspension Control Arm

Model: Porsche Boxster 986, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004

The rear suspension control arm consists of a bushing with a silent block attached via a pin to the rear axle, while the other end has a ball joint connected to the hub support. To replace it, lift the vehicle on suitable jack stands, placing two under the axle to support the suspension. You can actually avoid removing the wheel, but in any case, remove the rear pin and then the nut securing the ball joint, using a fork puller for removal. Then, proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
