How to Replace the Front Diagonal Control Arm

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

After positioning and lifting the car on a lift or using a jack, remove the front tire. Locate the position of the control arm indicated by a red arrow in the images. Remove the rubber cover protecting the control arm by unlocking the clips holding it in place. Use a wrench to first remove the angular bolts of the plate that secures the control arm head. Remove the center bolt. Now, unscrew the bolt connecting the control arm to the wheel. Remove the control arm from its position and replace it with the new one. To install the new one, simply perform the same steps in reverse order. The replacement was done on a Porsche 911 Carrera.
