To replace the battery in a RAM 1500, open the hood to access the components inside the engine bay. On the right side, locate the battery, which must be disconnected from its mounting bolts and freed from the power cables. Once the old battery is removed from its housing, replace it with a new one; connect the new battery to the power cables and secure it with the mounting bolts before lowering the hood.
