How to Change the Oil in a Ram 3500?

The first step for changing the engine oil is to drain the degraded oil. This operation should preferably be done with the vehicle raised for easier access to the oil pan located underneath. Remove the drain plug so that the oil can flow into a container placed underneath.

Replace the plug and move on to the oil filter: remove the cartridge and replace it with a new one. Finally, pour new engine oil through the designated opening in the hood until it reaches the indicated level.
