In this video, you will see how to change the engine oil on a Renault Trafic III: First, open the oil filler cap to facilitate drainage, and add a pre-drain oil cleaner to help eliminate stubborn residues. Allow the used oil to drain into a suitable container, which you will then dispose of at an authorised centre.

You will also need to change the filter, which is located right next to the sump and will also leak some oil: place the recovery container underneath. Remove the gasket, clean the container thoroughly, and refit the filter.

Remember to lubricate the new gasket with clean oil and replace the filter in its position. Close the sump with a new plug and refill the oil from the top filler neck.

Fill to about 90% of the required amount, run the engine for a minute, then check the level and top up. Operation complete.
