How to install a spacer on the steering wheel of a Renault Clio IV

In this video, we see how to install a spacer for the Renault Clio IV. It is an accessory that is used to bring the steering wheel closer to the driver, allowing for a more comfortable and sporty driving position; in fact, it provides a better perception of the steering and more precise control of the vehicle. The first thing to do before removing the steering wheel is to disconnect the battery, as we will need to remove the airbag. To do this, we insert a screwdriver into the holes on the sides to release the springs, and then disconnect the electrical connector. The airbag cables are very long, so there is no need to extend them. Now, we unscrew the central screw of the steering wheel. The spacer can be found on gardustech.com with the code 15413 and a cost of 230.00 euros, plug & play installation, all services are maintained. We pass all the wires through the spacer and then through the steering wheel, pass the screw included in the kit and tighten it to the steering wheel. Reconnect all the plugs, being careful not to pull on the wires, reattach the safety clip to the airbag and gently push until we hear the "click" that assures us it has returned to its housing. Reconnect the battery and the job is done.
