Is it Possible to Change the Front Headlight Bulbs of the Renault Modus Without Removing the Bumper?

Model: Renault Modus MK 1 - Years 2004-2013
Part: Headlight

To the question of whether it is possible to change the front headlight bulbs of the Renault Modus without removing the bumper, the answer is undoubtedly no: the Renault Modus is notorious for its peculiar design, making bulb replacement a sort of odyssey, worthy of a horror film. Engineers have positioned the headlights so that, even with a child's hands, you must be a contortionist to reach the rear caps. In almost all cases, it is necessary to remove the bumper (at least partially), especially for the dipped beams and indicators; as if that weren't enough, some versions have clips that break just from breathing too hard. You can try using a magnetic extension or long-nosed pliers: some have managed to change the position lights using this method. Otherwise, try to 'loosen' the bumper (it is not necessary to remove it completely) by unscrewing the screws under the bumper in the wheel arch area, releasing the clips at the front, and gently pulling the bumper forward. Always wear gloves, as scraped fingers are guaranteed.

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille.
