How to Replace the Auxiliary Belt on a Renault Clio IV

To replace the auxiliary belt on a Renault Clio IV, start by disconnecting the battery (negative terminal). Then lift the front of the vehicle and remove the right front wheel. Unscrew the wheel arch screws (Torx T27 under the bumper and clips) and remove it. Take a photo of the belt routing before disassembling it; this will help during reassembly. Use a 16mm spanner to lift the tensioner: while holding the tensioner up, slide the belt off the pulley, then unscrew the pulley bolts with a 14mm spanner, remove the old pulley, fit the new pulley, and tighten to torque with a torque wrench. Meanwhile, obtain the belt and pulley from auto-doc using EAN code 4010858155971 at a price of £40.99 + £9.95 shipping. Follow the original belt routing, lift the tensioner with a 16mm spanner, thread the belt over all the pulleys, and release the tensioner. Ensure the belt is properly seated in all the pulleys, reassemble the wheel arch, reconnect the battery, refit the wheel, and lower the vehicle. Tighten the bolts to torque.
