How to Replace the Fan Resistor on a Renault Twingo III

In this video, we see how the cabin fan only works on the 2nd speed. To start, disconnect the negative battery cable, open the glove compartment, and under the dashboard, in the glove compartment area, there are two holes that secure the side curtain airbag. You need to unscrew them. From underneath, gently push the airbag upwards until you hear a click. Once released, carefully remove it. Disconnect the airbag's electrical connector and place it in a safe location. Still from the passenger side, locate the electrical connector of the fan motor and disconnect it. Move to the driver's side and carefully remove the plastic cover above the instrument cluster. Underneath, you will find cross-head screws that will allow you to remove the instrument cluster. Also, from the driver's side, remove the other side cover of the dashboard. Now you can see the resistor, connected to wiring with a red and a black wire. Disconnect the connectors and remove the components. Install the new resistor that you will find on eBay with code 174679046280 at a price of £133.23 + £7.95 for delivery. At this point, reassemble everything following the exact reverse steps, ensuring that the connectors are properly inserted and that the airbag is securely fixed.
