The card battery of the Renault Megane 2 can be replaced at any time as it does not require any tools. All you need is a replacement battery, which should be a 3-volt button cell marked CR2032. Once you have obtained it, hold the card in your hand and, while pressing the small side button, pull out the emergency key. This can be used to remove the battery compartment cover, which in turn can help you remove the exhausted battery. Once the battery is replaced, simply reposition the cover and the emergency key.
