Replacement of Rear Brake Discs

Model: Renault Megane Megane 2 - Years 2002-2010

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the rear wheel; then unscrew the retaining bolts of the brake caliper, use a screwdriver to lever between the disc and the caliper to slightly retract the piston and remove the caliper and then the old brake pads; also remove the brake caliper support, the cap in the centre of the disc, and unscrew the retaining nut of the disc itself; clean the new disc to remove the protective oil, install it by securing it with the central nut and reapply the cap; then install the caliper support, apply the sliding shims and the new brake pads, applying copper grease to the backs; retract the caliper piston with the appropriate tool and install the caliper; pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance.
