How to Replace the Key Battery on the Renault Megane

Model: Renault Megane Megane 2 - Years 2002-2010

Remove the back part of the key. Hold the key in one hand. With one hand holding the key, use the other to slide the flap towards the shorter side. Remove the metal key from inside the remote cover if you wish to use it. Use a small flat screwdriver or a plastic removal kit available online (useful for any plastic disassembly). Once the flap is removed, you will find a flat battery CR 2032 3V in the remote key. Detach the battery cover (round black cap). Identify the precise point to lever off the battery. Remove the battery (with a small screwdriver) from inside the key's plastic. Place the new CR2032 battery inside the remote key. Once the new battery is inserted, simply close the key with the cover flap. Position the flap over the remote key. Slide the flap until it is fully secured.
