How to Change the Battery on a Renault Megane II 1.5 DCI

Let's see how to change the battery on a Renault Megane II 1.5 DCI; open the front bonnet. The battery is located on the right side of the engine. You will need to unscrew the battery support plate to remove it. Then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, ensuring the cable is completely detached. Remove the plastic cover from the positive terminal, then take off the terminal. Now you can remove the battery. Clean the terminals of any white oxide using fine sandpaper. On the new battery, apply some copper grease to the terminals to improve the connection. You can now place it in its housing. Start by reconnecting the positive terminal and replace its plastic cover. Now you can attach the negative terminal. The video shows a trick for positioning the support plate to prevent it from falling into its housing. Operation complete.
