Renault Clio - Video tutorial
Model: Renault Clio
Clio V, Clio 5
- Years 2019-2024 Let's see how the auto-hold function works on the Renault Clio V's handbrake: the parking brake is automatically activated when the vehicle is stationary, and in the following cases: when the engine is off; when the seatbelt is removed or the driver's door is opened, or if the automatic transmission is placed in "p" position. A warning light will illuminate on the instrument panel with the message "parking brake applied". The parking brake is released when the vehicle is turned on and the accelerator is pressed. It can also be manually applied by pulling the switch on the center console. To release it, turn on the vehicle, press the brake pedal, and then the switch. Let's see how to move the vehicle with the engine off: turn on the ignition, put it in neutral, release the parking brake, and open the door. A message will appear on the instrument panel, and the vehicle can be moved. If the automatic parking brake is not functioning, a message will appear indicating to manually apply it: simply pull the switch. The auto-hold function allows the vehicle to remain braked without pressing the brake pedal; it is released as soon as the accelerator is pressed. To activate this function, simply press the button below the parking brake.
