Resolving Airbag Warning Light Issue on Renault Twingo

It is common for the airbag warning light to remain illuminated on the instrument cluster of the first series Renault Twingo. It is advisable to check the fault memory of the relevant control unit to identify the source of the fault. However, it is well known that this is often due to a poor connection in the connectors for the seatbelt pretensioners located just under the seats. Start by disabling the passenger airbag to rule out a malfunction of the corresponding connector. Next, access the connectors under the seats and clean them with contact cleaner spray; any oxidation can cause the warning light to illuminate.
