Renault Megane - Video tutorial
Model: Renault Megane
Megane 4, Megane IV
- Years 2015-2023 In this video, we see how to install a sensor for detecting the lack of windshield washer fluid on the Renault Megane. Before performing the installation, it is important - as seen in the video - to check if the car is equipped for this use: there must be a red wire and a brown wire. The process is also valid for Talisman, Scenic, Espace, and Kadjar. The device can be found, for example, on eBay with the code 304950309771 at a price of 19.27 euros + 4.90 euros for shipping. It can also be accessed from the passenger side by removing the wheel, but removing the bumper makes the job easier. Simply remove the three screws underneath, then the four screws on top. The rest is just a snap fit. We will then need to remove the wheel arches, and on each side, there is a screw that holds the bumper; we find the reservoir where there is a connector underneath, which we disconnect because this is where we will attach our sensor. We drain the windshield washer fluid because we will need to drill a hole to insert our sensor. We place the gasket and snap in the sensor. Once the washer fluid tank is reinstalled and the pump is back in place, we can also put the front end back together with the bumper. And we see that the dashboard tells us that the windshield washer fluid is missing because the reservoir is empty.
