How to Install the Washer Fluid Level Sensor on the Renault Megane

This video shows how to install a sensor for detecting low washer fluid on the Renault Megane. Before installation, check if the vehicle is equipped for this use: there should be a red wire and a brown one. This procedure also applies to Talisman, Scenic, Espace, and Kadjar. The device can be found on eBay with code 304950309771 for £19.27 plus £4.90 shipping. You can access it from the passenger side by removing the wheel, but removing the bumper makes the job easier. Just remove the three screws underneath, then the four on top. The rest is clipped in. You will need to remove the wheel arch liners, and there is a screw on each side holding the bumper. Locate the tank where there is a connector underneath, disconnect it as this is where you will attach your sensor. Empty the washer fluid as you will need to drill a hole to introduce your sensor. Place the gasket and clip the sensor in. Once you have reassembled the washer tank and replaced the pump, you can also refit the front with the bumper. You will see on the dashboard that it indicates low washer fluid because the tank is empty.
