Removal and Replacement of the Timing Belt

Model: Saab 9 5 Ys3e, MK 1 - Years 1997-2010
Part: Timing belt

This video shows how to remove and replace the timing belt in your car. First, remove all the covering plastics that obstruct the timing belt removal and lift the car using a ramp for better access. Next, unscrew the pulley that tensions the belt and proceed to remove the belt itself, paying close attention to the position of the other pulleys. Then, remove the water pump and install a new one, securing it with gasket paste. After fitting the new belt, install a new tensioner pulley.
