The fuel filter is a component that must be replaced regularly. To proceed with this operation it is necessary to wear protective goggles and rubber gloves. The tools needed are: new replacement filter hose clamps, screwdriver, ratchet wrench and wire cutters. The first operation consists in removing the fuse relating to the fuel pump in order to cut off the current during the replacement work and open the tank cap. Lift the machine and secure it and then locate the filter. Place a plastic sheet in the work area to catch any gasoline that may spill. The filter is fixed with a front and a rear bracket that must be removed to allow you to remove the hose clamps that lock it to the supply hose. Once the clamps have been removed, remove the filter allowing the petrol to flow into a basin. Install the new filter paying attention to the flow direction indicated by an arrow on the filter itself.
