How to Replace the Right Front Door Lock of the Seat Leon

Model: Seat Leon 1M - Years 1999-2005

To replace the right front door lock of the Seat Leon, open the door and use a plastic tool to detach the handle cover from the inside. Locate and remove the two screws, and also unscrew the screws around the inner door panel. Using a plastic tool, detach the panel from the door, lifting it to allow the locking pin to pass through. Disconnect the cord from the inner handle and unplug the window switch connector (lower the window slightly to access a bolt, unscrew it, manually lift the window, and secure it with tape). After disconnecting the connector, use a plastic tool to detach the wire harness from the door. Unscrew the door screws, including the one at the bottom side, lift the outer handle to remove the piece next to it using a plastic tool, unscrew the two screws of the lock, unscrew the last upper screws of the door, and remove the door panel. Disconnect the electric window connector and detach the pin of the outer handle to remove the lock. Now take the new handle, transfer the missing parts from the old lock to the new one, reinsert it into the door, attach the pin to the outer handle, fit the piece next to the handle, and reassemble everything by reversing the disassembly procedure.
