How to Replace the Engine Oil and Filter on a Skoda Fabia 1

In this video, we will see how to replace the engine oil and filter on a Skoda Fabia 1: remove the engine cover, and cover the throttle body with a cloth to prevent dust ingress. Undo the oil filler cap. Lift the car on axle stands and then remove the lower engine protection. Place a large container under the drain plug and undo it: allow the oil to drain, which you will then dispose of correctly at an authorised centre. Undo the filter cartridge, remove the filter from the cartridge, take off the old O-ring, install the new filter, and lubricate the new seal with fresh oil. Tighten the filter to 25 Nm. Clean the area around the plug and install a new plug and new seal. Lower the car and pour in 3.3 litres of oil according to the manufacturer's specifications. The level must be between min and max. Start the engine for a few minutes until the oil pressure warning light goes off: wait 5 minutes and recheck the level.
