As shown in this tutorial, replacing the remote battery on the Skoda Octavia is a very simple and quick operation. To proceed, you will need a small flathead screwdriver and a replacement CR2025 battery.

Start by pressing the metal button on the top to release the emergency key, then unlock the rear cover by levering in the gap just freed. Once fully opened, remove the old battery and insert the replacement, ensuring it is the correct way round.

Finally, reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure.
