How to Reset the Service Light on the Škoda Octavia?

On the Škoda Octavia, to reset the Service light, turn on the instrument cluster by rotating the key in the ignition switch: once it is on, scroll through the menu using the controls on the steering wheel. Select the "Service" option and then the "Reset" option: this will reset the light and also clear the maintenance interval.

You can verify that the reset was successful by turning the instrument cluster off and then back on.
