Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Skoda Octavia MK 2, 1Z - Years 2004-2012

To replace the front brake pads, lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel. Disconnect the wear sensor plug, remove the protective caps from the mounting pins of the brake caliper to the support, and unscrew them to remove the caliper from the support. Next, take out the old pads, retract the caliper piston using a pair of locking pliers, fit the new pads, and remount the caliper by tightening the relevant mounting pins and reconnecting the wear sensor plug. Be cautious during the first braking.
