How to Remove the Left Panel of the Smart Forfour Door

First, it is necessary to remove the plastic cover located inside, near the external rear-view mirror. This can be done using a special plastic lever. Next, unscrew the screws located respectively: at the side of the panel, near the door lock; inside the opening handle housing, located behind it; and finally, behind the black position adjuster for the rear-view mirror (which needs to be removed using the plastic lever), situated near the door handle at the top. Remove the opening handle housing and proceed to unclip the clips securing the panel at the bottom. Once this is done, you can pull the panel off from the top and disconnect the power cables for the switches and the adjustment cables for the mirror and the handle.
