To disable the traction control on a Smart, open the dedicated fuse box located inside the dashboard, just below the steering column: here you will find the fuse that controls the traction control system. This fuse must be completely removed from its housing, effectively disabling the ESP function: at this point, you can turn on the instrument cluster and drive the car to verify that the issue has been disabled.
