How to replace the battery of the Subaru Forester key

In this article we will illustrate the procedure for replacing the battery of the key/remote control of the Subaru Forester. For this procedure you will need a slotted screwdriver. First, you need to press the appropriate unlock button on the physical key, and then pull the key outwards to remove it. Once the key is removed, use it to insert it into the appropriate slot to pry and remove the cover. Once the cover is removed, you will have access to the battery, use the screwdriver to pry and remove it. Now replace the battery and then reinsert the cover by pressing it with your hands and then reinsert the key into the appropriate slot.
