In the event of a collision, the airbag control unit activates the protection devices and saves the crash: in addition to replacing the airbags, the relative control unit must also be replaced (in some cases it is also possible to reprogram it rather than replace it with a new one); having said this, the control unit is located behind the central console and in order to be able to disassemble it, at least the radio must be removed: start by removing the portion of the dashboard from the passenger side and then remove the frame around the radio and then the radio itself; then extract the glove compartment under the climate control controls and proceed with the removal of the airbag control unit.
