Airbag Control Unit Removal Instructions

In the event of a collision, the airbag control unit activates the protection devices and records the crash. In addition to replacing the airbags, you will also need to replace the corresponding control unit (in some cases, it may be possible to reprogram it instead of replacing it with a new one). The control unit is located behind the centre console, and to remove it, you must first take out at least the car radio. Start by removing the dashboard panel on the passenger side, then remove the trim around the car radio and the radio itself. Next, extract the glove compartment beneath the climate control switches and proceed to remove the airbag control unit.
