How to Replace Your Car's Airbag

Replacing your car's airbag is not too difficult, and doing it yourself can save you a significant amount of money. It is one of the main safety accessories and can be purchased independently by finding the most cost-effective option. Turn off the car and remove the keys, ensuring the wheels are turned outwards and the handbrake is engaged. Lightly pull the steering wheel cover while turning it. Once the steering wheel is removed, go to the engine bay to disconnect any cables that could cause issues. Then, take the steering column and turn it with the inner part facing you. This will give you a clear view of the two pins holding the airbag in place. Use a suitable-sized screwdriver to leverage the metal clips inside the two holes. This way, you can remove the old airbag and insert the purchased replacement. For reassembly, the process will be much simpler than disassembly. Just screw and fit the various components back together, then reattach the steering column.
