How do you remove the starter motor on a Suzuki Grand Vitara? Lift the vehicle with a column lift and secure it. First, disconnect the battery cables using a socket wrench (for safety). Once located, unscrew the starter motor mounting bolts. Disconnect the starter power terminals with pliers or a screwdriver, depending on the pressure of the clips. Detach the unit from its housing and remove it from the engine bay. Finally, install the new starter motor by reconnecting the power cables and securing it with the appropriate bolts.
