How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Suzuki Swift

To replace the engine oil and filter in a Suzuki Swift, start by parking the car on a stable surface, ensuring the engine is slightly warm to facilitate the flow of lubricant. Safely lift the vehicle and place a container under the oil sump. Open the filler cap at the top of the engine and unscrew the lower drain bolt to completely empty the system. Once draining is complete, clean the area and refit the drain plug, ensuring the gasket is intact and properly positioned. Next, move to the oil filter: unscrew and remove it, avoiding any residual spills. Before installing the new filter, lightly lubricate the gasket with clean oil and screw it on until it makes proper contact. Then, refill by pouring new oil through the top filler according to the engine specifications. Check the level with the dipstick and adjust if necessary.
