How to Change the Alternator on a Suzuki Jimny

Learn how to change the alternator on a Suzuki Jimny. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Unscrew the bolts with a socket spanner, taking care not to damage the wiring harness, and unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator (work from below if more convenient). Once disassembly is complete, remove the alternator from the engine bay. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, then screw in the securing bolts. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery.
