Where to Find the Legal Frame Number (VIN) of the Suzuki Swift

The legal frame number of the Suzuki Swift is located on the bodywork, inside the engine compartment. You can find it by opening the bonnet on the side facing the passenger, just below the grille under the windscreen: it is a code made up of 17 alphanumeric digits that, in the case of Suzuki, starts with the prefix JS1/JS2. The same code is also found on the metal plate located in the thickness of the driver's door: it is not the legal frame number, but it is used for the vehicle's colour code. Another plate with the frame number is on the driver's side of the windscreen, but it is only a courtesy plate used to move the vehicle until it has its registration plate.
