How to replace the 12V battery of the Tesla Model X.

It's not true that a Tesla cannot be repaired on your own. Although the process is much more intricate than on a regular vehicle, it is possible to change the 12V battery: we put the vehicle in service mode by pressing the "Model X" logo on the screen, and then we type "service." We disconnect the fire block to isolate the high voltage battery. This is a critical step for safety. Now, let's disassemble the engine compartment: we remove the gasket and the inner lining, unscrew all the many 10 mm screws that secure the engine compartment box, then we remove the rivet covers to fully extract the engine compartment box, which, once removed, will give us access to the cabin air filter. We take it out, and we will have reached the 12V battery. We disconnect the positive terminal and then the negative one, remove the drain tube, unscrew several screws and a nut that secure the battery box and its supports, disconnect the quick connections of the wiring harness to free up space, and finally, we can lift and remove the old battery. We insert the new battery into its box, reposition all the supports and brackets we removed, reconnect the wiring harness and the drain tube, then the positive and negative terminals, reinsert the fire block, reassemble the filter and the engine compartment box in the reverse order of how we disassembled them, and then exit service mode. It's not a trivial operation, so if we are unsure of our abilities, it's better to rely on a specialized center.
