In this video, the YouTuber shows us how to manually open the glove compartment of a 2024 Tesla Model Y. Being a predominantly digital car, the glove box usually opens via the touchscreen, but in case of a dead battery or electrical faults, it’s essential to know how to unlock it mechanically. As clearly shown in the image, you need to get under the dashboard and locate a small hole or an emergency release lever. Using a common Phillips screwdriver or a thin tool, pry on the mechanism to release the lock. Once activated, the glove compartment door physically opens, allowing access to documents or items stored inside.
