Where is the Alternator Fuse Located in a Toyota 4Runner?

If the alternator in your Toyota 4Runner suddenly stops working, first check the status of the corresponding fuse, which is shown in this video. As demonstrated, the fuse is located in the box within the engine compartment, underneath the black plastic cover right behind the battery.

It is a 140A fuse and is the first one in the second row when looking at the box from the front. To replace it, unlike standard fuses, you will need to remove the box itself and unscrew the two mounting bolts.

Make sure to work with the vehicle turned off.
