To replace the rear headlight bulb of a Toyota Corolla, start by opening the trunk to access the rear area of the light. Remove the panel or inner lining of the compartment, which may be secured with clips or screws, to reach the back of the headlight.

Once you have uncovered the optical group, locate the bulb holder, which is usually inserted in the back of the headlight. Rotate it counterclockwise to gently remove it. After removing the bulb holder, take out the defective bulb by pulling it slightly or twisting it, depending on the type.

Insert the new compatible bulb, being careful not to touch the glass directly with your fingers to avoid damaging it or reducing its lifespan. Reinstall the bulb holder in the optical group by rotating it clockwise until it locks securely.

Replace the inner lining and make sure it is securely attached. Finally, turn on the lights to verify that the new bulb is working correctly, ensuring that the installation was successful.
