Full Service and Reset for the Toyota Yaris Cross

Let's see how to perform routine maintenance on a Toyota Yaris Cross: the oil filter is located in the engine bay at the top left, under a plastic cover; place a container underneath to catch the oil that will come out. Unscrew it with a strap wrench, clean the seat, lubricate the seal with clean oil, and screw the seal in by hand, then tighten by 3/4 of a turn. Meanwhile, drain the engine oil from the front of the oil sump. Position the collection container under the drain plug (dispose of it properly at an authorised centre), unscrew the plug and let it drain. Replace the plug and seal and screw the plug back on, tightening it to 30/40 Nm. Refill the oil through the upper filler cap, start the engine for a couple of minutes, then turn off and check the level with the dipstick, adding oil until it reaches the max level. The engine must be in "ready" mode to circulate the oil before draining. To reset the warning light, turn on the ignition, use the buttons to the left of the steering wheel, select "vehicle settings" and scroll to "oil change". Press and hold the "ok" button and select "reset data". Wait for the message "reset completed".
