You can replace the remote battery on the Toyota RAV4 by pressing the button on the key that is located at the top of the remote: this will lift the key and allow you to lever it out of its housing. The rear panel will then detach, and the battery underneath can be extracted: at this point, you can insert the new one, covering everything with the panel. This way, you can close the key again to check that the remote works with the new battery.
