How to Replace the Rear Light Bulb on Toyota Avensis

Replacing the rear light bulbs on a Toyota Avensis is quite simple as they are easily accessible by removing the light unit. Inside the boot, near the rear light, you will notice a small flap cut into the carpet; opening this flap will give you access to the back of the light unit where three nuts secure it to the bodywork. By removing the three nuts, you can then extract the light unit from the car and disconnect the power connector. At the back of the light unit, you will see a plastic cover held in place by two clips; once these are released, you will have access to the bulb holders. At this point, you can replace all the bulbs in the light unit and then proceed to reassemble everything in the reverse order of disassembly.
