How to Activate/Deactivate Traction Control on a Toyota C-HR

Model: Toyota C Hr Ax50, MK 1, Ax10 - Years 2016-2023

To deactivate traction control on a first-generation Toyota C-HR, stop the vehicle and keep the engine running. Locate the TRC/VSC OFF button, identifiable by the symbol of a car with wavy lines, located on the central console near the gear lever. Briefly press the button to deactivate the TRC traction control: the corresponding light will illuminate on the dashboard. To reactivate the system, simply press the same button again and check that the indicator switches off. By turning off and restarting the vehicle, the traction control will normally return to being active automatically. Deactivation can be useful temporarily when the vehicle is stuck in snow, mud, or on surfaces with poor grip.
