Replacing the Key Battery in a Toyota Rav 4

Let's see how to change the key battery in a Toyota Rav 4. Take your ignition key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two plastic halves until they separate. Remove the battery holder from inside the cover; extract the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the battery holder and the two parts of the key fob cover until you hear them click into place. Check the proper functioning of the key fob by testing the door lock and unlock buttons.
