How to Replace the Remote Battery on Toyota Auris

If pressing the buttons on the remote key does not activate the door locks, the remote battery may be flat: it is a CR2032 model and the replacement is very simple. Start by pressing the side button on the remote (the one marked PUSH) to extract the mechanical key (also known as the blade) and use the same blade to pry in the designated slot to separate the shells. At this point, you will notice the battery cover located between the transparent shells of the remote's electronic board; remove the cover, take out the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity, then close everything by reversing the steps.
