Need to replace the oil filter on a Toyota RAV4? Follow these steps for replacement. Lift the car on a jack and undo the bolt of the oil sump; let the fluid drain into a container. Lower the car to the ground. Open the car's door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Use a strap wrench to unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located. Refill the engine with new oil. Close the bonnet after refilling.
