Remote Key Battery Replacement

Model: Toyota Prius MK 1 - Years 2004-2009

First, remove the mechanical key from inside the remote; then proceed to extract the cover featuring the logo by sliding it out like a drawer. At this point, unscrew the four small screws and open the battery compartment cover by prising at the edges with a small flat screwdriver; extract the old battery, scrape the contacts to remove any oxidation residues, and insert the new one in the same orientation as the old one.
Close the cover by screwing in the four screws and reinsert the cover and mechanical key into the remote. Test the operation.
