How to Remove the Spare Tire from a Toyota 4Runner

To remove the spare tire from your vehicle, ensure the engine is off to perform all necessary steps safely. First, go to the rear of the vehicle and lift the hood. Lower the leftmost seat and then do the same with the small plastic door located near the yellow warning. Inside, you will find all the tools needed to remove the spare tire. Take the straight rod and insert it (at an angle) into the hole corresponding to the hood latch. Then, take the L-shaped rod and attach it to the end of the previous rod. Finally, turn counterclockwise to lower the spare tire completely. Detach it from the safety system, and you're done.
