How to Disable the Seatbelt Alarm on a Toyota

The audible signal reminding the driver and all passengers to wear their seatbelt is very important and should only be disabled during maintenance of the mechanism itself. In this mini guide, you will learn how to disable the alarm on Toyota models. First, wear the seatbelt without activating the lock. Next, insert the key and turn on the ignition. At this point, the audible signal will start immediately. Press the button located below the speedometer several times until you see the ODO message on the mini display. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on immediately. Hold down the same button used previously for about 15 seconds and then release it. Finally, wear the seatbelt again and the audible signal will be disabled.
