How to Replace an Ignition Coil on a Toyota Yaris XP10

This guide shows how to replace a damaged ignition coil on a Toyota Yaris XP10. The first step, if you have a diagnostic device, is to connect it to the OBD port and run a diagnosis on the vehicle. Once you identify the error code and the corresponding cylinder, you can proceed from the engine bay. Remove the engine air filter box to expose the coil tops; they are numbered from left to right. Disconnect the connector from the damaged coil and, using a 10 mm spanner, remove the fixing bolt. Install the new coil and reassemble everything in position. Use the diagnostic device to reset the error.
