How to Change the Engine Oil and Replace the Oil Filter in a Toyota RAV 4

In this tutorial, you will learn how to change the engine oil and replace the oil filter in a Toyota RAV 4. First, lift the bonnet of the car and secure it in position using the prop rod. Next, locate the oil filler cap and unscrew it. To change the oil, raise the car using appropriate ramps to access the underside of the vehicle. Locate the oil sump bolt and using a 14 mm socket, unscrew it; allow the used oil to drain into a suitable container. Then, unscrew the oil filter cover cap and subsequently the filter itself, allowing any remaining oil to drain out. Spray a cleaning spray to remove any residues. Now, fit the new filter and re-tighten the oil sump bolt. Finally, use a funnel to pour in the new oil.
