How to Replace the Tire on a Toyota Tacoma

If you need to replace the wheel on this vehicle, you will find everything you need for disassembly in the compartment located under the driver's side rear seat, which will need to be flipped up. In the kit, in addition to the hydraulic jack and the wrench for removing the bolts, you will find the rod that you will need to assemble to lower the spare tire from under the trunk. You will need to insert this rod into the hole located at the back of the vehicle above the license plate and loosen the nut to lower the spare tire housing. Next, loosen the lug nuts on the wheel and then lift the vehicle to finish removing them. Take the spare tire and begin tightening the bolts again to complete the job.
