In today's video, you will learn how to remove the tailgate on the Toyota Tacoma. This video is useful for performing this operation independently. First, release the tailgate and then remove the rubber cover located there. Once done, proceed by unscrewing the appropriate retaining screws on the inside of the tailgate. Then, remove the internal release handle. You can now proceed with the necessary work on the piece since it is now open. Once done, reverse the process to reassemble everything as it was originally, and you are finished.
